Bloodworks Northwest and the Region’s Music Community Launches Music’s In Our Blood Campaign to Save Lives Through The Power of Music
Seeking 10,000 New Donors By End of Year
When music and generosity join forces, life keeps flowing. That’s the beat behind Bloodworks Northwest’s Music’s In Our Blood campaign, now in its fifth year, and it’s bigger and bolder than ever. This unique, music-centric initiative is on a mission to recruit 10,000 new blood donors by the end of the year, fueling local hospitals and saving lives across the Pacific Northwest.
Music’s In Our Blood is a movement that harnesses the universal language of music to inspire, inform, and ignite action in our community. Bloodworks Northwest, the region’s primary blood supplier to 95% of hospitals in Western Washington and Oregon, is turning up the volume by collaborating with local artists, beloved radio stations, and iconic brands to bring the urgent need for blood donation to center stage.
This year’s campaign features:
- Major partnerships with community rockstars like KEXP, Sonic Guild, Sub Pop, Top Pot Doughnuts, Free Guitars for Kids, SMASH, The Residency, Three Magnets Brewing, Seattle Symphony, Ivars, and more
- Local favorites Top Pot Doughnuts, KEXP, and music venues opening their doors and their hearts for special blood drives
- Exceptional Sonic Guild artists making a positive difference and sharing their personal stories to rally fans and music lovers to give the gift of life: Marshall Hugh, Zan Fiskum, Tomo Nakayama, Jul!et, Haley Johnsen, Cumulus, and Amelia Day
- Musical giveaways for donors, including a chance to win a trip for two to Tokyo including flights, hotel stay at The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, and choice of concert tickets for Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, or BLACKPINK
Music and Medicine: A Powerful Duet
With a critical shortage of blood donors, the time to act is now. Bloodworks Northwest believes that, just like donating blood, music has the power to heal, restore, and uplift.
“Just as donating blood can save lives physically, music has the profound ability to heal and rejuvenate the mind and spirit,” says Ben London, Executive Director at Sonic Guild. “Music’s In Our Blood seeks to do both. We’re proud partners in this initiative for a fifth year, connecting musicians and fans to a cause that keeps our community healthy.”
