  • Most blood centers don’t have enough blood on the shelves to handle mass disasters, leaving the public especially vulnerable in the aftermath of an emergency. Our participation in BERC, and by extension you, are how we fix that avoidable danger. When we are on call, we must be ready to ship O+ and O- blood to the scene of any mass-transfusion event anywhere in the country.
