Bloodworks opened its first Bellevue Donor Center in 1977 before moving to its new space at 1807 132nd Avenue NE in 2016 and hosting mobile drives throughout the Eastside. Local donors support Pacific Northwest patients, including those at Evergreen Health, Overlake Medical Center, Swedish and MultiCare.

Bellingham

Early in 1996, a small donor center was opened in a storefront in Bellingham before growing into a new expanded Bellingham Donor Center at 410 Bakerview Road in 2013 where donors, in addition to donating whole blood, could start giving much needed platelets. Whatcom County and nearby Skagit and Island County donors support patients at Pacific Northwest hospitals including Whidbey Health, PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, Island, and Skagit Valley Hospitals.

Beaverton

We were thrilled to cut the ribbon on our new Beaverton Donor Center in November 2023 with the help of local health, civic, businesses, and community organizations from the growing Beaverton community. The location is also a home base for a new community bloodmobile serving Beaverton, Portland, Tigard, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, Tualatin, Sherwood and surrounding areas. Donors support patients at local hospitals throughout the PNW, including nearby Legacy Health, Providence St. Vincent, and PeaceHealth.

Renton

In 1970 a Tukwila building was constructed to house the first major King County donor center branch since the Seattle headquarters were founded in 1944. After 52 amazing years, in 2022 we unveiled a new modern Renton Donor Center serving South Seattle communities and mobile hub for drives within a 50 mile radius to benefit patients at local hospitals like nearby Valley Medical Center.

Seattle Central

Donors at our Central Seattle Donor Center experience a little piece of history every time they donate – Washington State’s very first blood supply system. Founded as the King County Blood Bank in 1944 a blood bank was planned to serve Seattle area citizens. It was a new concept and service. Thanks to our donor community, Bloodworks Northwest serves 95% of the blood supply to hospitals in Western Washington and Oregon including every major medical center like Harborview, Fred Hutch, Kaiser, Providence, Swedish, MultiCare Health System, UW Medicine, Franciscan Health and more.

Opened 1944

Silverdale

It takes many people to save lives, so to meet the growing needs of the Kitsap Peninsula and surrounding communities, Bloodworks Northwest Silverdale Donor Center opened in 1998. Our donors support patients at St. Michael Medical Center – Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Forks Community Hospital, Olympic Medical Center, and more.

Opened 1998

Vancouver

After serving patients in Southwest Washington hospitals in Clark and Cowlitz County for more than 10 years, Bloodworks Northwest Vancouver Donor Center opened in a snowstorm in 2007 just east of Westfield Vancouver Mall. Bloodworks is fortunate to have a dedicated community of donors willing to tread through heavy ice and snow to support patients at nearby Legacy, PeaceHealth, and Southwest Washington Medical Center.

A safe and reliable blood supply is dependent on our local community doing their part to make a difference. This THANK YOU goes out to businesses, community groups, sports teams, schools and places of worship hosting blood drives and spreading the word. We appreciate your partnership in saving lives!
